Our Story

Salsa Kings began in 1998 when Elba, originally from Cuba, saw that Miami—though close to Cuba in culture—had no true salsa academies that taught people how to dance. She took the leap and opened one of the first salsa studios in Miami. Today, the studio has grown far beyond its beginnings and continues to thrive under the leadership of Andres Fernandez.

Our Mission

Salsa Kings exists to deliver excellence in a fun, healing culture by helping people build relationships and exercise interpersonal connection through Latin dance. The motto #BetterTogether captures the spirit of the studio: you can go fast alone, but you can only go far as a team.

Our Leader

At the heart of Salsa Kings is Andres Fernandez, owner and director. With over 20 years of experience in salsa and the dance industry, Andres is passionate about making salsa accessible to everyone, especially beginners. His vision is simple: create a welcoming environment where anyone can experience the joy of salsa, no matter their background or skill level.
