Salsa Kings® is a salsa dance school founded in Miami in 1998 that teaches group, private and online salsa classes to beginners, adults and couples across Miami-Dade and Broward counties in South Florida.
We specialize in Casino, commonly known as Cuban-style salsa, and we teach it as a social dance: with music, with partners and with people. You don’t need experience, and you don’t need to bring a partner. Our motto says the rest: Better Together.

Our Story
Salsa Kings® began in 1998, when Elba, originally from Cuba, opened a salsa school in Miami to teach people how to dance. What started as one studio has grown into a community that dances together across South Florida, and today the school continues under the leadership of owner and director Andres Fernandez.
Our mission is “to deliver excellence in a fun, healing culture by helping others build relationships and exercise interpersonal connection via Latin dance.” Our motto, #BetterTogether, comes from an idea we repeat often: you can go fast alone, but you can only go far as a team.
What Salsa Kings® teaches, and who it’s for
Salsa Kings® teaches salsa for real dance floors, in three formats that fit different schedules and comfort levels.
Group classes are open-level. Beginners are welcome every week, and the classes still challenge more experienced dancers. Many people walk in for their first class on their own, and that is completely normal here.
Private lessons give you one-on-one attention, or time with your partner, in the studio, at home or online. Private lessons are also where we prepare couples for their wedding dance and create quinceañera choreography.
Online classes, including live broadcasts and video courses, help when you can’t make it in person.
Our students include complete beginners, adults looking for something social to do in the evening, couples who want a new kind of date night, and people who come solo to meet new friends. For dancers who want to teach, Salsa Kings® also offers instructor training. We host workshops and organize a yearly Salsa Cruise, too.
Salsa Kings® also works with companies and event planners. Our salsa team-building sessions suit company retreats, holiday parties, conferences and new-hire icebreakers, and can run at your venue or at our studio. For celebrations, we offer two kinds of professional dance entertainment: Crowd Animation, where our dancers get guests out of their chairs and onto the dance floor, and Showcase, a choreographed performance to open or close an event.
How a Salsa Kings® class works
Salsa Kings® group classes follow a clear flow: a warm-up to get comfortable with rhythm and movement, step-by-step instruction, and partner work to practice timing and connection.
Partners rotate throughout the class. That is why you don’t need to bring anyone: you dance with different people, learn to lead or follow with anyone, and get to know the room as you go. Come solo, bring a friend or bring your partner.
What you learn doesn’t have to stay in class. The Salsa Kings® community comes together for socials, workshops and events, so you always have somewhere to dance what you’ve learned. And because our VIP Membership gives access to any Salsa Kings® location, you can dance with the familia wherever is easiest that week. Private lessons can be booked through the Salsa Kings® app.

The people behind Salsa Kings®
Andres Fernandez is the owner and director of Salsa Kings®. He is passionate about making salsa accessible to everyone, especially beginners, and his vision is simple: a welcoming place where anyone can experience the joy of salsa, whatever their background or skill level.
Andres leads the school with the Salsa Kings® leadership team: Lester Castillo, Pablo Peña and Galo Paredes.
Salsa Kings® also produces the Salsa Kings LIVE podcast, where we talk about dance and the people of the Latin dance community.
Where Salsa Kings® teaches
Salsa Kings® holds classes at seven locations across Miami-Dade and Broward counties (as of October 2026): Cooper City, Cutler Bay, Doral, Homestead, Kendall, Miami Lakes and Weston. Private lessons can also take place at your home, and our event dancers can travel to events outside South Florida.
