Want a great way to meet new people, have fun, and get moving? Then Salsa Kings FIU classes are for you! In partnership with the Latin American Dance Club, we offer free classes every other Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Graham Center at the Main Campus. It’s a chance to learn some Latin dance, like salsa, bachata, and merengue, with your fellow FIU students!

Did we mention that the classes are free?

During each session, our talented Latin dance instructors (who are also FIU students) will teach you the steps of the most popular Latin dances, including salsa, bachata, and merengue. There will be plenty of time to practice and get the hang of each style of dance, and a chance to dance in a social setting with your fellow FIU classmates.

Dance Classes for All Skill Levels

Our free classes in the FIU dance studios are perfect for dancing at any level, from true beginners through those who have danced all their lives. We create a fun and welcoming environment, so if you’ve never taken a dance class before, this is the perfect place to start!

If you have dance experience, have been doing a Latin dance for years or are coming back after some time off, we have something for you, too. We instruct each student so they get the most out of each session.

What to Bring to Salsa Classes in FIU

Have you already decided to join us for one of our salsa and Latin dance sessions? Make sure you bring comfortable clothes you can move in, comfortable footwear appropriate for dancing, and, of course, a willingness to learn and have fun! Even if you’ve never danced in your life, our classes will teach you all the basic steps so you can have fun.

Rather than simply teaching you the steps to salsa, bachata, or another Latin dance, our experienced instructors also teach you to connect with your partner. It makes the experience better and helps you and your partner enjoy it even more!
