We’re going to recap everything in Casineros Rueda Congress including the competition, dances, and much more. Joining us are two awesome guests, Pablo and Erica, who competed and won some trophies and medals for Salsa Kings. Let’s get started and hear all about their amazing experience!

Casineros Rueda Congress Overview:
The Casineros Rueda Congress was a big deal for Salsa Kings and the salsa community. It had lots of workshops, awesome performances, fun competition, and of course, plenty of chnces to dance.
Competition:
The most exciting part of the congress was the competition. Salsa Kings won 8 out of 11 gold medals! It was tough competition and certainly a fun and unforgettable experience for everyone.
Unexpected Draws:
After the competition, there were some unexpected surprises too. Right after eating dinner when everyone came back to hear the results of the competition, there was a surprising draw. Two couples came up evenly matched and had to dance one more song to battle it out for the medal in the pro-am category. It was fun to watch even though the dancers were tired from dancing the entire day…
Nerves:
Even though they won medals, Pablo and Erica admitted they felt nervous before competing. They talked about how they managed their nerves and turned them into energy to perform their best. It just goes to show that nerves are part of the experience and even great dancers have them.
Fun:
Erica reminds everyone that dancing is about having fun, no matter if you are competing or social dancing, it should all be fun. Always keep this objective in mind, and no matter how nervous you are, you will never regret dancing.
