In this week’s episode of Salsa Kings Live Andres explores the concept of “how you do one thing, you do everything”. He goes very deep into what you can tell about a person through dance and what people project to the world without being aware. Welcome to Episode 140 of Salsa Kings podcast, where we’re diving into a rico recap of our recent 2024 Miami Salsa Cruise. I’m Andres, joined by Pablo, and we’re thrilled to share the memories from our unforgettable adventure aboard the Carnival celebration.

In this episode Andres takes us through the bare beginnings of his salsa journey, and the key moments that created the motivation and curiosity to start. Never forget, we all started from 0 but, everyone can learn (doesn’t matter if you aren’t latino). Andres has never talked about his story in depth before anywhere! 

Today’s episode is all about taking the next step. Pablo and Andres explain how you move on to the next “stage” or take the next “step”. They literally explain step by step how you can solve your salsa problems and breakthrough to the next level. This episode is packed full of actionable steps that dancers need to take in order to grow.

In episode 137 Andres talks about feeling it and not feeling it. Even if you absolutely love “italian food”, you might feel like eating “mexican food” instead, and this is okay! Andres explains why understanding that dance is art and comes from inspiration is important to flow through the “limbo’s”. 

In this episode, Andres and two Salsa Kings instructors discuss “not feeling it” when you are social dancing. They talk from experience about not getting the results you want and how there are ways to get back into the rhythm and have more fun. Remember! It takes time and growth is not linear, there’s ups and downs to the process and it’s a very normal thing to get stuck somewhere.

The goal of dancing is having fun, so Andres explains 3 concepts that allowed him to have endless fun and joy on and off the dance floor, especially in this day and age where people have jobs, kids, and many responsibilities.
